Cookies are commonly used small files which are stored on a user's computer; and, they are sometimes deleted as the current browser window is closed, by clearing browser cookies, or until they expire.
Some scripts such as Google Analytics, Pop-Up windows, or other third parties scripts may use such cookies technology. When a website uses cookies to collect data from visitors, it is important to check the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and to be in compliance.
For example, in the Google Analytics Terms of Service Agreement, there’s a requirement that users of Google Analytics must have a Privacy Policy agreement in place. The Privacy Policy must disclose that analytics is used, disclose how data is collected and processed, and provide notice of the use of cookies.
In most instances, you may need to provide proper cookies consent notification at your website. It is most commonly displayed as a pop-up window usually at the footer (bottom) section of a website. This pop-up window will display the cookies consent notice, will have a link to privacy or cookies policy, and will have an OK or an AGREE type of button.
Nowadays, more and more websites are becoming in compliance by adding cookies consent notices and proper cookies or privacy policy to their sites.
We highly encourage you to be in compliance with The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
